Grab the screen, scribble on it, and it's in the chat before anyone notices you've left the meeting.
Snapocrat lives in your menu bar. Press ⇧⌘2 from any app, drag out the bit you want, mark it up and copy it. That's the whole job, and it takes a few seconds.
Capture
Drag a rectangle and the size shows as you go. Click a window to grab the whole thing, or take the full screen. Recent shots are kept to hand in case you need one again.
Prefer the keys you already know? Snapocrat can take over ⇧⌘3, ⇧⌘4 and ⇧⌘5 in place of the built-in macOS screenshots.
Rough shapes come out tidy
Draw a wobbly arrow and Snapocrat straightens it. Scribble a box or a circle and it snaps into shape. Once it's down you can bend an arrow or change its colour.
Hold ⇧ while dragging for a box, or ⌥ if you really do want it wobbly.
Highlight and add text
Swipe across text like a highlighter pen. Straight swipes snap level.
Click anywhere on a capture to open a menu at the pointer, then add text or a callout where you clicked. Callouts start with "By Jove!", so type over it unless you mean it.
Pro: every tool in the kingdom
Pro adds:
- Video and GIFs. Record part of the screen, and the clip is copied ready to paste into a chat or a ticket.
- Scrolling capture. Start a capture and scroll. Snapocrat stitches the page together and stops by itself at the bottom.
- Callouts for pointing at things with a speech bubble.
- Blur. Drag over an email address or a face to pixelate it before you share.
- Resize a capture before it goes anywhere.
Pro costs £1.99 a month, or £12.99 once. Both unlock everything. The one-time purchase is charged to your Apple ID with nothing to renew, and Pro works on every Mac signed in with that Apple ID.
If you're on the monthly plan and then buy Lifetime, Snapocrat opens your App Store subscriptions straight afterwards so you can cancel the monthly one. Apple doesn't let apps cancel subscriptions for you. You keep Pro either way.
Private
Snapocrat only looks at your screen when you take a capture, and nothing leaves your Mac. See the privacy policy below.

Privacy policy

This policy covers the Snapocrat app for Mac, published by Glusoft Limited (company number 9806370). In short: the app doesn't collect, store or share any information about you or how you use it. The only time we receive anything is when you contact us for support.
What we collect
Nothing. Snapocrat has no accounts or sign-in, and we run no servers for it. It contains no analytics, no crash or diagnostic reporting, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. We don't receive your captures, recordings, device details or usage data, so there's nothing for us to store, sell or share.
Your captures stay on your Mac
Screenshots, videos and GIFs are created on your Mac. Depending on your settings they're copied to your clipboard or saved on your Mac, and the app never uploads them. Where they go after that, such as a chat or an email you paste them into, is up to you.
macOS permissions
Screen Recording. macOS requires this permission for any app that captures the screen. Snapocrat only looks at your screen when you take a capture.
Accessibility. This is only needed for scrolling capture, and only if you use it. Snapocrat uses it to send scroll-wheel events so the page scrolls while it captures. It doesn't read or control anything else.
You can turn either permission off at any time in System Settings, under Privacy & Security.
Purchases
Pro is sold as a monthly subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase, handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We don't see or receive your payment details or Apple ID. Apple's handling of purchase information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. You manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings.
Support requests
If you use the support form or email us, we receive what you send: your name, email address, message, and any app version or device details you include. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam, which checks your browser under Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. Support requests go to our team through a secure internal messaging service. We use them only to reply to you and fix the problem, never for marketing, and we don't share them with anyone else. Ask us and we'll delete your request.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, children included. Support requests are the only information we receive, and only when someone chooses to send one.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data handling ever changes, we'll update this policy and the date at the top before that version is released.
